Cookies and similar technologies.
Last updated: 29 April 2026 · Effective: 29 April 2026
The trip.capila.io website and the Capila Trip application use cookies and similar technologies to ensure functionality, sign-in and (with your consent) traffic measurement. We do not use third-party marketing or advertising cookies. Processing complies with GDPR and § 109 of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications.
01 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device (computer, mobile, tablet) when you visit. On a return visit they let the site ‘remember’ certain information — for example language, sign-in or a granted consent.
Beyond cookies, in selected places we use similar technologies — in particular browser local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) and session tokens. They are subject to the same rules as cookies.
02 Categories
Necessary: required for the basic functioning of the website and application — storage of your consent choice, authentication, abuse prevention, language preference. Without them the service does not work properly. They cannot be turned off. Legal basis: § 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. (consent exemption) and legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Analytical: help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages they read, where they leave, what works and what does not. Data is used in anonymised or aggregated form. Activated only with your consent. In the current version of Capila Trip we do not use any third-party analytical cookies — traffic measurement runs on Plausible, which is cookieless.
Functional: enable enhanced features (e.g. theme preference or embedding external documents). Activated only with your consent.
Marketing and advertising: not used. No Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, retargeting or other third-party advertising tools.
03 Cookie banner and settings
On your first visit a cookie banner appears with three equal-weight options: Accept all (consent for all categories); Necessary only (analytical and functional widgets do not run); Custom (you choose which categories to allow).
Consent is freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous under Art. 4(11) and Art. 7 GDPR. Refusing cookies has the same weight as accepting them — no dark patterns.
You can change or withdraw consent any time via the ‘Cookie settings’ button in the footer or at the end of this page. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.
04 Transfers to third countries
Some tools (in particular Supabase, hosted in the EU, and Cloudflare network protection) may in rare cases transfer technical data outside the European Economic Area. We protect such transfers using Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, or transfers to entities certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
05 Consent retention
Record of consent granted / refused: 12 months (the banner reappears thereafter).
Evidence of consent for potential supervisory-authority audit: 3 years from withdrawal or expiry.
06 Your rights and contact
In relation to personal data processed via cookies you have all rights under GDPR — in particular the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. They are described in detail on the Privacy policy page.
You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Slovak Data Protection Authority, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk.
